Questions, answered honestly.
Yes. Obesity is recognised as a chronic medical condition influenced by genetics, hormones, metabolism, medications and environment — not simply a lack of willpower. That's why it's assessed and treated medically at Landry Consultant, the same way any other chronic condition would be managed, with ongoing monitoring rather than a one-time fix.
Your first visit is a full medical assessment: a review of your history and current medications, a physical examination, and baseline measurements such as weight, waist circumference and blood pressure. Dr. Bennett will discuss findings with you directly and outline whether further tests or a treatment plan are appropriate. The visit typically runs 40–50 minutes.
Medical therapy is prescribed where clinically appropriate, based on your history, examination and any lab results. It is never the automatic first step, and not every patient is a suitable candidate. Any prescribed treatment is monitored by Dr. Bennett at scheduled follow-up visits for effect and tolerability.
Only where clinically indicated. If your history or examination suggests a thyroid, insulin resistance or hormonal factor may be contributing to your weight, Dr. Bennett will recommend targeted lab work and go through the results with you in plain language at your next visit.
This varies by individual, underlying medical factors, and how closely a plan is followed — we don't promise a fixed timeline or outcome. What we can say is that progress is reviewed at every follow-up, and your plan is adjusted based on what the data and your experience actually show.

Yes — video consultations are available for follow-up visits once an initial in-person assessment has been completed. This lets Dr. Bennett review your progress without requiring a clinic visit every time. New patients are seen in person for the first appointment.
Yes — this is a significant part of our practice. Weight gain linked to thyroid dysfunction, PCOS or diabetes often needs a different approach than diet advice alone, and Dr. Bennett's endocrinology background is specifically suited to untangling these overlapping conditions and treating them together.
Call or WhatsApp the clinic directly, or send a message through the contact form and we'll get back to you within one working day to schedule a time. Appointments are usually available within the same week.
