Treatments
Treatments & programs
Every plan starts with a medical assessment and is adjusted over time. Here is what each part of treatment actually involves.
Medical Weight Assessment
Every treatment plan starts with an honest, thorough assessment — not a scale reading. Dr. Bennett reviews your medical history, current medications, family history and lifestyle, then takes baseline measurements including weight, waist circumference and blood pressure. This appointment is unhurried by design, because the details that matter most are often the ones a rushed visit misses.
Includes
- Full medical & weight history review
- Physical examination & baseline measurements
- Personalised risk assessment
This first visit typically runs 40–50 minutes.
Nutrition & Diet Planning
Sustainable change starts with a plan you can actually follow. We build your nutrition plan around your existing routine, budget, and the foods you already eat, adjusting portions and patterns rather than prescribing an unfamiliar diet. Plans are reviewed and adjusted at follow-up visits as your progress and circumstances change.
Includes
- Personalised meal structure, not a generic diet
- Guidance that fits your routine and budget
- Adjusted at every follow-up visit
No food is off-limits by default — plans are built around moderation, not restriction lists.
Metabolic & Hormonal Screening
Weight gain is sometimes driven by an underlying hormonal or metabolic issue — thyroid dysfunction, insulin resistance, PCOS — that diet and exercise alone won't fix. Where clinically indicated, we order targeted lab work and review results together, explaining what each marker means and how it changes your treatment plan.
Includes
- Thyroid function & fasting insulin panels
- Lipid profile & fasting blood glucose
- Results explained in plain language
Labs are ordered only when clinically indicated, not as a routine upsell.
Physician-Prescribed Medical Therapy
For some patients, medical therapy — prescribed and monitored by Dr. Bennett — is an appropriate part of treatment alongside nutrition and lifestyle changes. Suitability depends on your medical history, current health and treatment goals. Any prescribed therapy is reviewed at scheduled follow-ups for effect and tolerability.
Includes
- Prescribed only where clinically appropriate
- Dosage set and monitored by Dr. Bennett
- Reviewed at every follow-up appointment
Not every patient is a candidate — suitability is assessed at your consultation.
Lifestyle & Behaviour Support
A treatment plan only works if it fits into daily life. We work through activity levels, sleep, stress and habit patterns, and set realistic, incremental goals rather than an overnight overhaul. This is ongoing support, revisited and adjusted at each follow-up rather than a one-time lecture.
Includes
- Realistic activity targets, not extreme programmes
- Sleep & stress factors reviewed
- Goals revisited at every visit
Support is incremental — small, sustained changes, not a 30-day overhaul.
Follow-up & Maintenance
Weight management doesn't end at a target number. Scheduled follow-up visits track your progress against baseline measurements, adjust nutrition or therapy as needed, and shift focus toward long-term maintenance once initial goals are met. Continuity of care is what separates lasting results from a temporary fix.
Includes
- Scheduled progress reviews
- Plan adjusted as your needs change
- Long-term maintenance focus, not just loss
Follow-up intervals are set individually — typically every 4–6 weeks initially.
